(Anti) Valentines and more!

Happy new month lovely subscribers! Welcome to all the newbies - thank you for signing up! And for those who have been around for ages- thank you for your continued support 🥰

We've survived January- a reason to celebrate in itself! 2026 properly starts here in my opinion, as it is also the month of the start of the Fire Horse in the Chinese calendar, which is all about GO GO GO, And after the shenanigans of last month, I'll be happy to !

In case you're new and haven't heard, the year started with a bit of a shock for me (but in retrospect, a blessing in disguise) when my main affiliate partner Treadwells Books decided to stop listing my tours with no warning, and after four years of partnership I was left confusedly panicking and scrambling to find an alternative way to sell my tours.

But I was utterly humbled and overwhelmed by the love and support that poured in from my followers (you guys! ) who offered help, contacts, ideas and, of course, bought tickets! I've been crazy busy over the past 3 weeks marketing like a demon and trying to spread the word and it has paid off. I've got quite a few private tours and museum projects in the pipeline for this year now, and my 31st January Magic, Mystics and Martyrs sold out! It was an absolute buzzing crowd, we were blessed with a full moon and a clear night. I couldn't ask for more really. Thank you SO much everyone. I really mean it.   Below are some lovely photos some attendees took and a review as well. (Photos courtesy of @niffinblu and @egleandrius on Instagram.)

February Events!

There's a lot of stuff happening this month so buckle up baby!

Feb 8th - Rise up women!

On 6th February 1918 (some) women got the vote in England. So to commemorate this historic law change, the first Sunday of the month I'll be donning my suffragette gear to lead you through London recalling the explosive campaign that led to the vote. I'll be introducing you to some of the lesser known women of colour and working class members of the movment, and we'll end at the Bow Street Museum of Crime and Justice which you have free entry to as part of your ticket! Book here.

Friday 13th -  lucky for some!

I'm not scared of Friday 13th personally, because for me it's a sacred day of witchery! As we have a Friday 13th just before Valenties Day I'll of course be running my popular Hex and the City tour that evening. Join us if you want to be swept away into a magical (and sad) world of witch persecution and pagan ritual in the City of London…🔮 Book here.

Feb 14th - What's Love Got to Do With It?

February is the month of love, so show some love for the ladies and get on a Herstorical Tour!

As is tradition, I'll be running my Harlots and Strumpets and Tarts, Oh My! tour on 14th February, Valentines Day itself. This is an (anti) Valentines walk, an alternative to the sickly sweet lovey-dovey stuff. We will look at the gritty reality of love and lust in the 18th century and what the costs were for women in the sex trade. There are plenty of funny and light moments though, amid all the serious history, and being led around Covent Garden's backstreets by a Georgian Madam is an experience in itself!  This tends to be a popular walk and tickets are going fast so get in quick if you'd like to come. Lovers and singles all warmly welcomed…💕 Book here.

Feb 15th  - Confess your sins!

It's a busy weekend for sure! If you've still not had your fill of Herstorical Tours after the 13th and 14th then why not amble along, post Sunday lunch/brunch, to our Southwark Sinners, Saints and Saviours walk? From London Bridge to Red Cross Gardens, your Roman whore (cough) TOUR guide will take you through herstory, from the pagan origins right the way through to Edwardian times. You'll meet goddesses, ladies of questionable virtue and…terrifying sewer creatures. That's all I'm giving away. You'll have to join us to see what I mean! There's an optional stop at the end at a cosy local pub. Book here.

Feb 27th  - Traitors: 1500's style…

The following weekend we've got two more tours! On the Friday there's Magic, Mystics and Martyrs, after a sell out January tour I'm expecting similar this month as this tour is proving to be popular! We walk along the Thames Path to the Tower of London and meet lady mystics and martyrs of the early modern period.

Like The Traitors, there are plenty of deceptions and murders and I even wear a cloak! Book here.

Feb 28th  - Harlots return!

If you couldn't make anti-Valentines, on the 28th February Harlots is BACK and this time with the Foundling Museum. This is a ticket package -  you get entry into the museum included and it's a great deal as museum entry is normally around £14.50. I would highly recommend the museum, obviously I'm biased but it's such a beautifully curated collection of such a poignant part of our herstory. Book here.

That's it for February. I'll be back mid-month with a Herstory blog. As ever, if you want a private tour, or have any other enquiry, please reach out! I'm still selling gift vouchers for my tours which can be used throughout the year, and stay tuned for some bespoke museum events that are coming up in the very near future. I'm open to podcast interviews as well, in case anyone runs one of those!

I hope the month treats you well, Happy Full Moon in Leo, and hope to see some of you on a tour soon.

Lots of love as ever
