(Why is this feeling less like a joke and more and more likely nowadays?? 😳)
Witches? Check. Magic? Check. Ghosties? Check. Gore? Check..
Yep, this Halloween we’re going ALL out. Not only is Hex and the City back for its usual yearly run, but we’ve also got a brand new spooky walking tour for 2025, Magic, Mystics, and Martyrs. This tour has nearly sold out most dates already, so book now to avoid disappointment! Here’s a short promo video to get you in the mood!
So if the world seems scary enough right now, escape into some herstory and magic and cheer yourself up seeing how far we (haven’t) come! 😂

Hex and the City
Hex and the City continues to spell bind London! This tour is more than just a walk, it’s an immersive witchy experience. Where else would you see a live seance AND a live pagan ritual on the streets of London? And you get to participate too! (if you want to of course)…careful though, the devil himself is always lurking nearby….
Hex and the City has celebrity fans and continues to be our top seller. If you haven’t seen it, don’t miss it this spooky season! Read reviews here.
Magic, Mystics and Martyrs
This is our brand new walk! From devilish diviners to foul-mouthed fish-wives, satanic nobles and botched beheadings, heartbroken ghosts and radical preachers…these are the herstories of the Thames Path and The Tower of London, re-enacted on location. It’s only a short walk, but packed with spooky surprises, especially at the end!
Many dates now nearly sold out so get in quick

Hex in the Garden!
Forget about Hex on the beach, it’s all about Hex in the Garden at spooky season! Back by popular demand, I will be gracing the beautiful Chelsea Physic Garden again on 27th October to tell stories of Healers, Harmers and the Witch Craze. Your ticket includes an immersive storytelling performance, a formal presentation and a complimentary drink. It was very popular and sold out quickly last time, so make sure you get tickets as they are limited!
Amersham Paracon! |
This spooky season I’m doing something slightly different - I’m speaking at the Amersham Paranormal Convention on November 1st! I’ll be giving a talk on witch history, and hopefully learning more about ghostly experiences in one of the most haunted towns in the UK! The convention is all day, hosted in one of the most haunted venues in the town, The King’s Arms Hotel. Here are tickets, and here’s a little video. |
Other tours |
Lest we forget, there are two other tours running early this month, and tickets are still available for both. Harlots, Strumpets and Tarts, Oh My! …is back on 3rd October (tomorrow!) for its final outing until December, so enjoy your last chance to see Baroness’s charms before she gets trussed up in tinsel and jingling balls (ding dong!) Votes for Women! Suffragettes at Bow Street and Beyond …is also back on 5th October for an autumn adventure Your ticket, as always, includes free entry to the Bow Street Museum of Crime and Justice. Our Halloween tours continue into November, as do my talks and spooky events, which will all be advertised on my social media channels in due course. So for now, I will leave you with a couple of photos from September. Have a fabulous October and Halloween and I hope I’ll see some of you on a tour or at an event! Do come and say hi! Samhain blessings, Maria x |
