“Deck The Halls with Harlots and Witches Fa la la la la la la la la…..🎶🎄”
Jingle bells Jezebels! How is it December already??? How did that happen? The festive season has crept up like some kind of creepy old man with a sack of toys hasn’t it!?
Only kidding. I love Christmas really. That’s mainly because it gives me an excuse to put tinsel and bells on my wigs, and other ridiculously ostentatious accoutrements.
Because of course we are running our popular Harlots and Strumpets and Tarts Oh My! tour for a festive, stocking-filling special this December on two dates (and we may open up more depending on how popular they are!) This is a perfect opportunity to explore festive Covent Garden in the company of 18th Century Harlots decked out like Christmas trees. The Georgians invented Christmas as we know it, after all! You can book your tickets by visiting the tour page linked above.
We’re also running a post-Christmas Midwinter special Hex and the City tour too. This is our regular tour, with a yuletide ritual at the end. Join us on 29th December, and prepare for the New Year with the coven!
Aaaaaand….if you’re up for something a bit darker why not come along to a festive ‘anging? See who (or what) is dangling under the mistletoe (or the noose!)?
Gaol Birds of Old London is running again on the 17th December.
As always a huge thank you to all of you who support Herstorical Tours by coming on the walks, leaving lovely reviews and recommending us to your friends. I am more appreciative than I could possibly express. Below are is a photo from our private Hex and the City tour with FIENA London, and reviews from October and November’s tours. Thank you so much!
So if I don’t see you this month, have yourself a very merry Christmas. Gorge yourselves silly, party hard or have some well earned time off - whatever you need to do! Most of all appreciate time with loved ones, because when all’s said and done - that’s what really matters.
Right. Saccharine shit over. I will be back just before 2024 with a round up of 2023 and a peek of what’s going down in the New Year so stay tuned!
